Of the following Three pages, the first Two pages comprise an article that was featured in the December 1961 issue of "RCA BROADCAST NEWS", the marketing publication of the Radio Corporation of America, the broadcast equipment company that KFVS purchased the tower from. The tower itself was designed and manufactured by Dresser-Ideco, RCA designed and manufactured the Traveling Wave Antenna that is (was?) at the very top of the structure.
The overall picture of the tower on the first page is most likely the picture used on the KFVS sign off slide for many years. The picture on the right of the first page looks like the picture that was used on a post card that was available. The pictures on the second page probably were never published beyond the magazine issue.
The Third page is a brochure that was produced and distributed by KFVS for marketing and promotional purposes. Enjoy, Palmer.
A brief description of the history of the KFVS Television Tower and Antenna in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. This was, at one time, the worlds tallest structure.
